Position Summary
Redeemer School is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Office Administrative Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. This position plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the school by providing excellent customer service, assisting students, managing communications, and helping maintain a welcoming and efficient school environment.
Schedule & Compensation
- Monday–Thursday
- 7:40 a.m. – 3:10 p.m.
- Approximately 30 hours per week
- $25.00 per hour
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFront Office & Reception
- Greet and assist students, parents, visitors, and vendors.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails.
- Manage visitor check-in procedures and campus security protocols.
- Maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional front office environment.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries.
Student Support
- Assist students who arrive late, require early dismissal, or need assistance during the school day.
- Support attendance tracking and student sign-in/sign-out procedures.
- Provide basic first aid and care for minor student needs as appropriate.
- Communicate with parents regarding student absences, attendance, and student needs.
Communication & Announcements
- Prepare and deliver daily school announcements.
- Assist with parent communications, newsletters, and school-wide correspondence.
- Maintain calendars, schedules, and office communications.
- Support teachers and administrators with document preparation and clerical tasks.
Administrative Support
- Maintain student records and office files with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with data entry, filing, copying, and general office tasks.
- Support enrollment, admissions, and registration activities.
- Help coordinate school events, meetings, and special programs.
- Order and maintain office and classroom supplies.
Team Support
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and administration.
- Assist with special projects and school initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Previous office, administrative, customer service, or school office experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and general office technology.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Comfortable working with children, parents, and staff in a fast-paced school environment.
