Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized Office Manager to lead the daily operations of our Church office environment. This pivotal role involves overseeing administrative functions. This person will have primary responsibility for secretarial and administrative duties in the church office. The person in this position should provide assistance to the other staff and church volunteers in the ministry programs of our congregation.

Duties

  • Primary reception person for the church, telephone, mail, assisting visitors and coordinate office coverage.
  • Maintain a church calendar with assistance from other church staff.
  • Operate all office equipment. See that all office equipment is properly maintained.
  • Prepare and assemble regular reports and documents for worship, boards, and meetings.
  • Prepares worship media.
  • Submit information for member communications to the website, shut-ins, and emails.
  • Maintain church membership records and database, enter information on attendance, communion, and class attendance.
  • Maintain an appropriate inventory of office and worship supplies, and purchase items as needed.
  • Prepare schedules for ushers, greeters, elders, acolytes, librarians, bus schedule and serving groups. Communicate reminders to these people as appropriate.
  • Assign and maintain the necessary keys and cards for the church security systems.
  • Assist other staff and volunteers as needed.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must relate well with people, be willing to serve, and be accommodating to all people coming into the church office.
  • Absolute confidentiality is required for all church records, conversations held in the church office, and in all verbal and written communications.
  • A working knowledge and understanding of the Bible, Christian Theology, Worship Services, and how a church operates.
  • Responsive to change and updating of office systems and procedures.
  • Computer and technology skills, including Word, Excel, and database management, and newer applications and systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Base Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
