Job Summary

This role accelerates business values by utilizing last-mile routing software to plan and publish light-duty routes for the Reddy Ice ecosystem on a daily and monthly basis. This role will primarily be responsible for planning routes associated with our field service equipment technicians. When required, this position will assist in nightly heavy duty (HD) assets route planning operations.Demonstrates our “True North” attributes: voice of the customer, respect for the individual, no nonsense communication and utilization of facts, servant leadership and has a continuous improvement mindset in every facet of leadership and daily interaction. Leads, collaborates and demonstrates the lean principles and utilizes the lean methodologies and tools to facilitate continuous process improvements and value creation for our customers, employees and shareholders. Actively utilizes lean tools (VSM, Kaizen, A3, etc.) to inform and assess business opportunities to drive continuous improvement. Lead and participate in Kaizen and value stream mapping activities.Education and Experience Required:Education and Experience Preferred:Desired Skills & Attributes:Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:Work will be performed in an office setting 3-4 days per week. Must be available to work some weekends. Overtime may be required. Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. The ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships and reason through complex business situations is essential.

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• 3 Years of experience with last mile delivery software
• 3 years of experience in route planning
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• 4 year college degree
• Roadnet routing software
• Strong analytical skills
• Problem solving skills are critical in identifying and investigating routing issues under customer, fleet and labor optimization
• Make and assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management.

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dispatch Assistant to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will coordinate the efficient dispatching of freight and manage transportation operations to ensure timely deliveries. Your proactive communication skills and organizational expertise will help streamline our supply chain processes, support fleet management, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Assist with vehicle dispatching by coordinating routes using transportation management systems and vehicle dispatch software
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal teams via phone calls and internal messaging platforms to relay instructions and updates
• Enter data accurately into logistics databases such as Oracle Transportation Management and transportation management systems
• Monitor GPS and GIS tools to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
• Support shipping & receiving operations by scheduling freight pickups and deliveries in accordance with logistics plans
• Maintain organized records of dispatch activities, freight details, and customer interactions for analysis and reporting purposes
• Provide excellent customer service through professional phone etiquette, addressing inquiries promptly and efficiently

Qualifications

• Proven experience with road transportation operations, logistics, or supply chain management
• Familiarity with GIS, GPS technology, transportation planning, and vehicle dispatch software
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data entry and analysis
• Knowledge of transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage phone calls professionally and clearly
• Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in fast-paced environments
• Ability to adhere to DOT regulations and safety standards during dispatching activities
• Experience with freight shipping & receiving, fleet management, or 3PL (third-party logistics) providers is a plus
