Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including nursing homes, primary care facilities, and inpatient units. The LPN will be responsible for assisting with patient assessments, administering medications, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with phlebotomy procedures and venipuncture as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Conduct patient assessments and document findings in electronic health records (Epic).
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist in various medical procedures, including sonography when applicable.
- Provide support to patients in critical care settings, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness practices.
Experience
- Current LPN license in good standing.
- Experience in primary care or nursing home settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic.
- Skills in phlebotomy and venipuncture are a plus.
- Previous experience in critical care or inpatient environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of basic ophthalmology procedures is desirable but not required.

Looking for a Family nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant or a Family practice physician to join our rural health clinics located in small rural communities in Ascension, Assumption and Iberville Parishes in Louisiana. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8AM-5-15 PM. Our clinics are located in underserved areas and qualify for J-1 Waiver and student loan repayment program. Nurse practitioner/Physician Assistant works independently under the guidance of a collaborative physician.
