The Organizational Change Manager will drive change navigation, organizational alignment, systems and process thinking, and program and governance design with our client teams. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to ensure shared understanding and drive effective change.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Apply a scalable and structured change management approach to support the people-side of change, including baselining of change readiness
- Utilize knowledge of situational awareness to develop change management strategies based on the groups impacted
- Identify potential people-side risks, anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address these concerns
- Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans and tools (i.e., communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, business readiness, training plan, resistance management plan) while considering adoption, reinforcement, and celebration
- Evaluate effectiveness of change efforts, identify performance gaps, work to develop and implement interventions when needed, and capture and apply lessons learned to achieve continuous improvement
- Coordinate with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan
- Coordinate with other departments and leaders to leverage expertise in support of change and adoption efforts
- Work with cross-functional business partners to ensure consistency throughout the adoption program lifecycle and share common understanding of business impacts as a result of system and process transformation
- Work though others, at all levels of the organization, to ensure success of changes including:
- Coach senior leaders and executives in how they fulfill the role of change sponsor
- Provide support and coaching to HR Business Partners, Learning & Development Consultants and managers as they lead their direct reports through transitions
- Support project teams by integrating change management activities into project plans
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or additional relevant work experience
- 8 years of progressively more responsible professional experience
- 5 years managing change efforts using change management principles and methodologies
- Change Navigation and Organizational Alignment
- Strong capability in organizational change management beyond training, including stakeholder alignment, readiness assessment, and governance restructuring
- Experience working with enterprise committees, sponsors, and cross-division leaders to clarify decision rights and operating models
- Systems and Process Thinking
- Skilled in process mapping, requirements gathering, and root-cause analysis to understand how work actually flows before proposing solutions
- Comfortable operating upstream of execution to reduce downstream friction
- Program and Governance Design
- Experience designing charters, intake models, approval frameworks, and repeatable operating structures for enterprise initiatives
- Especially effective in ambiguous environments where structure needs to be built from scratch
- Translator Across Disciplines
- Acts as a bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership, ensuring shared understanding without forcing everyone into the same language
- Strong in facilitation, synthesis, and alignment
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies
- Certification in change management methodologies preferred (i.e. PROSCI)
- Familiarity with lean practices preferred
- Detail-oriented, process-oriented, results-driven
- Solid facilitation skills at multiple management levels
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Cross-functional group coordination and collaboration
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.
