Overview
This role provides senior level controls and electrical engineering support for large scale mission critical facilities. The position focuses on the design review, localization, construction support, and operational improvement of power monitoring and control systems across hyperscale data center campuses. The engineer partners closely with design, construction, and operations teams to improve reliability, availability, and standardization of critical infrastructure systems.

Overview
This role provides senior level controls and electrical engineering support for large scale mission critical facilities. The engineer partners closely with design, construction, and operations teams to improve reliability, availability, and standardization of critical infrastructure systems.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Design and Engineering Support
- Review and support the technical development of power monitoring systems for large scale data center campuses, including planning, design reviews, specification compliance, and network reliability
- Review and support the technical development of SCADA and control systems
- Review internal engineering specifications and vendor compliance documentation
- Oversee architect and engineering design consultants and provide direction or escalation in alignment with established engineering standards
- Peer review consultant deliverables including drawings, specifications, sequences of operations, calculations, and models and provide documented comments and resolutions
- Identify and advise on value engineering opportunities that improve cost, constructability, or long-term operations
- Create rapid conceptual sketches and visualizations using industry tools to support spatial and dimensional validation and improve internal communication
- Lead or support controls related projects, outage response, and system improvements for operational facilities
- Act as an engineering representative supporting operations stakeholders
- Review post incident reports, root cause analyses, and presentations and provide recommendations
- Develop upgrade and improvement options with fleetwide impact to improve reliability and availability of critical infrastructure
- Analyze operational trend data and historian logs to assess equipment health, remaining useful life, and predictive failure indicators
- Partner with construction, design, and change management teams to compile, prioritize, and resolve construction driven engineering issues
- Support the development and distribution of engineering bulletins to communicate design updates
- Contribute to continuous improvement loops between standard design, construction execution, and operations
- Manage internal issue tracking tools to log, track, and close engineering issues
- Develop technical presentations to communicate findings, evaluations, and solution options to internal stakeholders
- Use spreadsheet tools to perform engineering calculations, analysis, and tabular evaluations
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required
- 15 years of experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of power monitoring systems and power quality meters
- Experience with mission critical facilities design and construction preferred
- Strong experience specifying and supporting electrical distribution equipment including switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, cables, monitoring equipment, generators, variable frequency drives, uninterruptible power supplies, and transformers
- Experience performing power system analysis using common engineering software tools
- Proficiency with drafting and modeling tools such as CAD or BIM
- Working knowledge of cross functional coordination with structural, civil, mechanical, architectural, IT, telecommunications, and security teams
