A five-doctor general practice in north central Connecticut is hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian.
The practice sees dogs, cats, and exotic pets including rabbits, ferrets, and birds, with routine soft tissue surgery each week. The team uses selected Fear Free handling techniques and focuses on kindness, communication, and teamwork.
Key Highlights:
- 30 to 40 hours per week across 4 days, with a Saturday rotation
- No on-call, last appointment at 5:00pm, daily lunch hour, and major holidays off
- 2.5:1 staff-to-doctor ratio
- Two surgical suites, in-house IDEXX lab, digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, and EKG
- Mentorship for new graduates
- Partnership opportunity with operational, marketing, and financial support
About You:
- DVM or VMD from an accredited school
- Valid Connecticut veterinary license, or eligible before the start date
- Comfort with general medicine, dentistry, and routine soft tissue surgery, or readiness to build these skills with mentorship
- Experienced veterinarians and strong new graduates welcome
- Interest in exotics welcome; exotic dentistry a plus
