We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Aide to join our team in a skilled nursing facility. The Activity Aide will assist in planning, organizing, and implementing engaging recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and leading daily recreational activities for residents
Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one engagement as needed
Support group activities such as games, arts and crafts, music, and social events
Help transport residents to and from activities safely
Maintain activity supplies and ensure proper setup and cleanup
Document resident attendance and participation in activities
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
Follow all facility policies, safety guidelines, and infection control procedures
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in activities, recreation, or healthcare preferred
Friendly, patient, and compassionate demeanor
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Must be reliable and able to adapt to residents’ needs
