Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician at Danforth Bay Camping Resort is responsible for maintenance of the campground, including but not limited to, facilities, equipment, and general appearance of the campground.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the condition of the Campgrounds facilities and equipment, including but not limited to, basic repairs, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, and site prep.
- Responsible for appearance and condition of grounds and roads, to include but not limited to mowing, weedwacking, trimming brush, grading, collecting trash on ground, etc.
- Maintain condition of all ditches, catch basins, and culverts.
- Responsible for having seasonal and transient sites consistently cleaned, prepared, and maintained for occupancy.
- Reports and is accountable to the Maintenance Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills
- Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
- Education- high school; GED; technical/trade school; apprenticeship
- Ability to work outdoors during a variety of weather environments.
- Flexibility with schedule required including the ability to work/be on call for some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reach/squat/bend/carry/push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.
- Problem solving skills as well as excellent communication and customer service required with staff and guests.
- Strong attention to safety, detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain guest and employee confidentiality.
- Strong work ethic, commitment, and a positive attitude
- Dependable and adheres to scheduled shifts.
- Must be able to operate equipment including, but not limited to, tractor, golf cart, lawnmower, leaf blower, weed whacker, etc.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
