What are the responsibilities and job description for the QM Testers position at Red Sun Technology?
We are looking for experienced QM Testers to support a Child Support Modernization initiative focused on User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The selected candidates will work closely with program stakeholders, business SMEs, and technical teams to validate that system functionality aligns with business processes, operational workflows, and federal compliance requirements. This role requires hands-on UAT execution experience specifically within Child Support systems, not adjacent domains like Child Care or Child Welfare. Candidates must be able to drive UAT readiness, execute test cycles, manage defects, and support post-go-live stabilization efforts.
- US Citizen or Greencard holder requirement per the client and W2 only
- Local to Connecticut candidates preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on UAT
- Proven experience supporting UAT for Child Support Modernization implementations (REQUIRED)
- Strong understanding of Child Support program operations, workflows, and case management
- Experience developing UAT test scenarios and test cases based on business requirements
- Hands-on experience executing test cases, logging defects, and validating fixes
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira, Xray, ALM, or similar)
- Ability to collaborate with business SMEs and technical teams
- Familiarity with federal OCSE requirements and reporting
- Experience supporting large-scale government system implementations
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
