We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician on 2nd Shift at our Evansville, IN facility. Shift times are Monday - Friday, 3:00PM – 11:30PM.
The Maintenance Technician may perform a variety of tasks in many different areas that involve machine diagnosis, breakdown, repair, installation, or modification. Position will also perform regular preventative maintenance, installation, and inspections. Duties could include plumbing, electrical work, PLC’s, welding, HVAC inspections and troubleshooting, and operating various power tools and hand tools, as well as powered industrial trucks.
Essential Functions:
- Overall Facility Maintenance results – Working on assigned tasks to ensure machinery and equipment are maintained for proper functioning, as well as preventive maintenance and upkeep of all buildings throughout the facility and doing so in a safe manner. Assignment will include variety of tasks based on the skillset of the employee.
- Continuous Improvement – Recognizing areas for improvement and offering suggestions to the proper authority (supervisor, EHS, Quality). Able to troubleshoot and problem solve to keep facility in operation.
- Work area – Maintain a clean and safe workspace for the employee and coworkers before, during, and after shift.
- Reviews work instructions - associated with the above-mentioned job title and regularly attends company-wide training on areas such as Corporate Ethics, Safety, Environmental, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
(Includes education, experience, and licenses/certifications required. This list may not be all-inclusive)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to pass, to company standard, multi-craft testing.
- Ability to pass a color deficiency test.
- Ability to work evenings and weekend hours if required.
- General problem solving, multi-craft maintenance background.
- Excellent punctuality and attendance
- Successful completion of: background check, education verification, reference check, Wonderlic, color deficiency test, hands on skill test, post-offer physical
Desired Qualifications:
- Prefer a 2 year degree in trades area and/or journeyman card
- 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance, electrical area.
Abilities/Competencies:
- Task oriented with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to follow direction and meet critical time deadlines.
- Ability to operate machinery, to included different types for fork lifts.
- Shows initiative and drive.
- Ability to adheres to all company policies, including Quality/EHS Procedures and policies, and all applicable government regulations.
