What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Maintenance Technician position at Red Roof Plus+ & Suites Erie PA?
This position supports the maintenance/repair needs of the hotel. Performs work involving multiple skill sets, such as plumbing, painting and drywall, carpentry, electrical and general appliance and machine repair.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Plumbing functions include:
- Unplug toilet and drains
- Change bath and toilet fixtures
- Fix faucets
Drywall and painting functions include:
- Small repairs in walls and ceilings due to water damage.
- Must blend repairs with existing wall or ceiling fixtures.
- Minor painting and repairs of rooms, doors, trim and ceilings in guest rooms and in public areas.
Carpentry functions include:
- Repair and fabricate chairs, tables, walls, floor, cabinetry, shelves etc.
- Must understand demonstrate correct use of hand and power tools. Electrical functions include:
- Change outlets, wall switches, light fixtures, appliances, AC/p-tacs and related items.
- Must be able to trouble shoot, read schematics, and diagnose electrical equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks as part of preventive maintenance program.
- Repairs and maintains commercial laundry equipment.
- All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent; vocational school training preferred.
- Minimum two years experience in electrical, plumbing and carpentry crafts.

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
