Direct Support Professional - Full-Time

We are currently seeking a team member to fill our Lead Direct Support Professional position:

Applicants must:

• Must be an eligible driver for RRHSF (at least 25 years old, valid driver's license, & driven for 5 years) and have a reliable, insured vehicle
  • Will be driving the morning van route Monday - Friday
    
• Be dependable and reliable
• Assist people with disabilities to be independent in their activities of daily living
• Support a person in our Day Program
• Attend appointments with people supported
• Attend staff meetings
• Be able to effectively communicate with team members
• Demonstrate ability to approach challenging situations with a calm approach
• Provide different levels of support to people with disabilities to meet their needs
  
• Assist the Residential Coordinator and Lead by preparing and maintaining a calendar for evenings, and assist with other duties as assigned
  
• Have a positive attitude and be self-directed

Applicants should be

• Comfortable assisting with personal cares (toileting, bathing)
• Comfortable with possible behaviors (therapeutic intervention training provided)AND
• Should enjoy participating in community activities as well as in home leisure time activities

Hours:Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The morning will consist of transportation, appointments, and miscellaneous duties. At noon, transport the person from their internship to the Day Program.

Great starting wage of $18.00/hour with a possible increase at 90-days, DOE! Paid training!
