As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and executing menu items to Red Parka standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workstation. Success in this role requires urgency, attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to food quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Set up and stock stations before service and maintain readiness throughout the shift.
- Ensure all food is prepared and handled in accordance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation at all times.
- Communicate effectively with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely ticket execution.
- Monitor product quality and consistency throughout each shift.
- Assist with food prep, inventory rotation, receiving deliveries, and end-of-shift cleaning duties.
- Follow all opening, closing, and side work procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during high-volume service periods.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
