Buyer / Planner – MEMS / Advanced Sensor Manufacturing (Contract-to-Hire)

💰 $50–$55/hr W2 | 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
We are seeking a Buyer / Planner to support a leading advanced sensor manufacturing organization in Fremont. This role is ideal for a hands-on materials professional with experience supporting high-tech manufacturing operations, supplier management, and production planning.
MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) experience is highly preferred. Candidates with backgrounds in semiconductor, sensors, electronics, medical device, aerospace, or other precision manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply.
Local Fremont-area candidates only will be considered. This is a 100% onsite role.
Responsibilities
- Manage MRP processes, planned orders, and purchase orders to support production schedules.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and expedite critical materials.
- Monitor inventory levels, shortages, and supply chain risks.
- Support NPI activities, BOM updates, and engineering changes.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
- Analyze inventory data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in materials planning, production planning, purchasing, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred).
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Experience supporting electronics, semiconductor, MEMS, sensors, or other high-precision manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Contract-to-Hire Opportunity | $50–$55/hr W2 | Fremont, CA (Onsite)
