Client Transportation Coordinator

Red Oak Recovery is a clinically dynamic, trauma intensive substance abuse and mental health treatment program designed specifically to meet the unique needs of our clients. Our focus is on clinical care, and we utilize the latest research-supported clinical modalities to ensure positive outcomes.

We are seeking a PRN Transportation Coordinator to assist in the transportation of clients to and from medical appointments, airports, detox facilities, and other external locations as assigned. This position will assist in the transportation services at our Red Oak Men's Campus located in Leicester, NC and our women's campus, The Willows, located in Fletcher, NC.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of clients to and from medical appointments, airports, detox facilities, and other external locations as assigned
• Provide support to all levels of the organization by coordinating transport needs and maintaining reliable communication with staff to ensure smooth client transitions
• Encourage the safety and comfort of clients by maintaining a professional, supportive presence and ensuring vehicles are clean, functional, and compliant with company and safety standards
• Be available for transportation of clients, including but not limited to airport pickups/drop-offs, medical and psychiatric appointments, detox and treatment center transfers, and discharges
• Maintain a consistent, compassionate, and professional presence with clients during transportation, ensuring emotional and physical safety at all times
• Coordinate with the operations team, admissions, and medical departments to ensure timely and accurate transport scheduling
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the transport vehicle(s)
• Report maintenance needs promptly
• Utilize Outlook shared transportation calendar to manage and track transport requests and appointments
• Participate in required trainings, and education relevant to transportation safety and client care
• Ensure adherence to all Red Oak policies, safety procedures, HIPAA regulations, and client confidentiality standards during all transports
• Respond calmly and appropriately to unexpected changes or client needs during transit
• Support the safety and operational success of all campuses through timely and efficient service

Qualifications:

• Minimum HS diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Minimum one year of experience in transportation, behavioral health, or client-facing roles
• Working knowledge of GPS navigation and comfort using digital communication tools
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and assist clients in and out of vehicles safely

Expected Hours:

• This is a PRN (as needed) position
• Days and hours of work are flexible and will vary based on transport needs, including potential early morning, evening, weekend, or holiday shifts

Expected Travel:

• Regular travel is required between Red Oak Recovery locations and client destinations
• Company vehicle provided
