Pool Attendant
The Pool Attendant is responsible for creating exceptional guest experience by providing attentive hospitality and food and beverage service while maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting pool environment. This role serves as an ambassador of The Red Lion Inn, proactively engaging with guests, anticipating their needs, and ensuring every visit to the pool is relaxing and memorable.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Welcome guests with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Provide attentive, personalized hospitality throughout each guest's visit.
- Build rapport with guests by engaging in friendly conversation and anticipating their needs.
- Assist guests with seating, towels, umbrellas, and other amenities.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate any concerns to management immediately.
- Maintain a visible and approachable presence throughout the pool area.
Food & Beverage Service
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver them promptly.
- Ensure all food and beverages are presented according to company standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and offer additional service throughout their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
Pool Area Maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming pool environment at all times.
- Stock towels, beverage stations, condiments, menus, and service supplies throughout the day.
- Remove used towels, trash, dishes, and debris regularly.
- Straighten lounge chairs, umbrellas, and pool furniture.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or equipment issues immediately.
Safety & Cleanliness
- Help ensure the pool deck remains clean, dry, and free of hazards.
- Follow all health, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures for the pool area.
- Maintain professional appearance and uphold The Red Lion Inn's service standards.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 or older to serve alcohol
- Previous hospitality, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred.
- Positive attitude with a genuine passion for guest service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while remaining attentive to guest needs.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts during the pool season.
Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
