Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently using reservation systems such as OpenTable or similar tools.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation, quality, and sanitation in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Upsell menu items by recommending specials, beverages, or desserts to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, process payments, and provide correct change while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations by bussing tables efficiently and assisting with sanitation practices.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food handling or prep tasks when needed, ensuring smooth coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving concerns professionally, and ensuring every guest leaves satisfied.
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with Silverware is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols within the food service industry.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tables efficiently.
- Culinary experience or background in fine dining environments is highly desirable for understanding menu offerings and presentation standards.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours without compromising service quality.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities while enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing.
- Experience in a nightclub or hospitality setting is advantageous for adapting to lively atmospheres requiring quick thinking and adaptability. - After training period, server wage is $4.73 plus tips.
- Must be or become TIPs certified within 30 days of hire.
