Job Summary:
The Audiovisual Technician will prepare, arrange, operate, and maintain A/V equipment such as video cameras, computers, projectors, soundboards, mics, and lights.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Records worship services on Sunday mornings and other events as determined by the Director of Communications.

Runs any combination of: video switcher, camera controller, livestream computer, soundboard, and standalone cameras for events that require A/V.

Receives requests for AV equipment in spaces from the Director of Communications; sets up and tests equipment, then operates equipment or hands control over to designated personnel.

Troubleshoots and resolves issues that arise with the A/V equipment using the signal chain.

Regularly and effectively uses software for video and audio streaming, recording, and editing.

Learns new software and technologies as they are introduced.

Edits, copies, and stores recordings of events.

Uploads recordings to appropriate platforms in a timely manner.

Provides instructions for the operation of equipment to non-AV employees.

Provides advice and suggestions to staff regarding the preparation and use of AV materials for services, studies or events.

Tracks inventory of equipment and requests necessary supplies.

Facilitates needed equipment repairs, which may include shipment of malfunctioning equipment to outside suppliers and rental of temporary replacement equipment.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft, Google, and Adobe Suites (Primarily Google).
- Knowledge of ProPresenter, OBS, and DaVinci Resolve or other appropriate Audio/Video Editing Software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extremely proficient in computer systems used with multimedia productions.
- Ability to troubleshoot quickly and effectively under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized.
- Ability to perform minor repairs to equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in a variety of situations.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Audiovisual Technology or related field preferred.
- At least two years of experience in the operation of audiovisual and video electronics.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working audiovisual equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Excellent hearing and eyesight with or without correction.
Salary : $17 - $22
