At Red Fire Farm, we’ve been growing certified organic produce since 2001, cultivating a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, flowers, and plants to share with our local community.
We’re seeking a Farm Store Crew Member for our Granby location to focus on customer service, store presentation, merchandising, and daily maintenance.
This core retail role ensures an excellent shopping experience for our store customers and CSA members while keeping our retail displays fully stocked, clean, and beautifully organized.
You’ll operate POS registers, assist shoppers, maintain crisp visual displays, and strictly follow store procedures to keep our sales floor looking vibrant and fresh.
Key Responsibilities
- Present a courteous, welcoming, and helpful demeanor to all customers and CSA members
- Accurately operate POS registers, process cash, credit, and HIP/SNAP transactions, and handle market cards
- Receive, document, price, and display value-added products and farm deliveries in a timely manner
- Maintain displays to look full and fresh, pulling and recording all expired products and spoiled produce
- Restock shelves, clean customer areas, and keep the sales floor safe, tidy, and inviting
- Follow seasonal opening and closing procedures, adhering strictly to store SOPs and guidelines
- Answer customer questions regarding produce and farm goods, and assist with general operational tasks or events
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Strong customer service focus with a friendly, patient, and welcoming presence
- Detail-oriented and organized, with an eye for product presentation and display maintenance
- Basic math and cash-handling skills for operating POS systems and payment transactions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to strictly follow standard operating procedures
- Ability to learn produce varieties, seasonal farm goods, and basic store operations
- Comfortable working on your feet and handling physical tasks (lifting, restocking, cleaning)
Helpful Skills:
- Prior experience in retail, cash handling, customer service, or farm stands
- Familiarity with local produce, organic farming, or seasonal growing cycles
- Experience processing HIP/SNAP or market card payment systems
LOCATION: Position located at 7 Carver St in Granby, MA.
SCHEDULE: Part-time seasonal availability based on business needs, including weekends and holidays during peak seasons.
