Overnight Pet Care Specialist — Full-Time
Red Dog Pet Resort & Spa | Boston, MA
Shift: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM
Red Dog Pet Resort & Spa is seeking an experienced Full-Time Overnight Pet Care Specialist for our Boston location. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently overnight, and passionate about providing safe, attentive care for dogs and cats.
The Overnight Pet Care Specialist is responsible for monitoring boarding guests throughout the night, maintaining a clean and safe facility, completing overnight walks/potty breaks, and helping prepare the resort for the next business day.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing overnight supervision and care for canine and feline lodging guests
- Completing scheduled overnight potty breaks and walks
- Monitoring guest health, comfort, behavior, and safety throughout the shift
- Cleaning guest areas, kennels, common spaces, and surrounding facility areas
- Completing laundry, trash removal, sanitation tasks, and general facility upkeep
- Preparing the resort for opening the following morning
- Communicating any guest concerns, incidents, or facility issues to management
- Following all safety, cleaning, animal-handling, and overnight care procedures
Ideal candidates will have:
- Previous animal care, kennel, boarding, veterinary, daycare, or pet resort experience
- Comfort handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, temperaments, and energy levels
- Ability to work independently and stay alert during overnight hours
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Reliable attendance and availability for overnight shifts
Schedule: Full-time overnight position, 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM. Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
