The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision machined parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role supports production, quality, and continuous improvement efforts in the CNC Machine Shop.
- Operate and set up CNC mills and lathes
- Install tooling, chucks, fixtures, and offsets
- Edit and adjust CNC programs and offsets
- Interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Inspect parts and maintain quality standards
- Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues
- Maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance
- Train and assist Level 1 machinists
- Maintain production records and documentation
- May need to work 2nd shift at times
3–5 years CNC machining experience. Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge. Ability to set up machines independently
