- Assist in managing leasing activities, including property tours, application processing, and lease signings to maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Support property marketing efforts through upselling available units and amenities to prospective residents.
- Maintain accurate data entry within property management systems such as Yardi or OneSite, ensuring all resident information and financial transactions are up-to-date.
- Help coordinate property maintenance requests, working with vendors and facilities management teams to ensure timely repairs and upkeep.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other legal requirements by maintaining proper documentation and conducting regular audits.
- Assist with legal administrative tasks related to landlord-tenant law, lease contracts, and eviction procedures when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service via phone etiquette, resolving resident concerns promptly while fostering positive relationships.
- Support the preparation of reports, filing systems, and record-keeping for audits or inspections.
- Participate in conflict management efforts by mediating resident disputes professionally and diplomatically.
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles; familiarity with multifamily housing preferred.
- Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing assistance, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law.
- Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite; experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry, filing, and record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills demonstrating professional phone etiquette and customer relationship management abilities.
- Ability to handle conflict situations effectively while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Office experience including filing, contracts management, and legal administrative tasks.
- Basic understanding of property maintenance coordination and facilities management processes.
