Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and friendly Veterinary Receptionist (Experience preferred) to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable communicating with clients both in person and over the phone. Experience in a veterinary or medical office is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate who has a positive attitude and a genuine love for animals.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and patients warmly upon arrival
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and confirm visits
- Check clients in and out and process payments accurately
- Maintain patient records and update client information
- Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and clients
- Keep the reception area clean and welcoming
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- High school diploma or other
- Previous experience in a veterinary or customer service role preferred
- Animal handling preferred
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Understand medical terminology
- Comfortable using computers; experience with Neo (IDEXX) software, Outlook, and Otto is a plus
Schedule:
Part-time position; must be available to work some Saturdays.
