Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, establishing a friendly and professional atmosphere from the moment they walk through the door
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and follow-up communications efficiently to maximize clinic flow
- Handle medical collections accurately, processing payments and insurance claims with attention to detail
- Maintain accurate patient records, including vaccination history, medical history, and treatment plans using veterinary software systems
- Assist with kennel management by coordinating pet boarding and ensuring animals are comfortable and well-cared-for during their stay
- Support veterinary staff with animal handling tasks such as restraint, animal catheterization, or basic animal husbandry as needed
- Facilitate laboratory procedures by preparing samples and understanding veterinary terminology to assist in diagnostics
- Ensure cleanliness and aseptic techniques are upheld in reception areas and treatment zones to promote a safe environment for animals and staff
Requirements
- Prior experience in animal handling, pet care, or kennel work is highly desirable
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and restraint techniques to support clinical activities
- Experience with laboratory procedures or veterinary critical care is a plus
- Ability to perform medical collections accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with dog training, pet grooming, or equine experience enhances your versatility in this role
