What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coffee Roasting Facility position at Red Barn Coffee Roasters?
Red Barn Coffee Roasters is seeking an efficient self-starter to perform packaging duties and local deliveries for its wholesale coffee roasting business. Red Barn has a small wholesale team, so each day may require a different set of tasks based on the needs of the business. This is an hourly position, up to 32 hrs/week.
There are plenty of opportunities for advancement. This is an entry level role within the company and the role could quickly transition to a coffee roasting position for the right candidate.
The coffee roasting facility is open Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm, and Friday 8am-12pm. There is no weekend obligation.
The local deliveries would be performed in a company-owned van.
Duties:
- Package roasted coffee, including labeling, filling, and sealing 12oz and 5lb bags.
- Pick, pack, and ship wholesale and ecommerce coffee orders.
- Local deliveries to cafes, shops, and grocery stores in a company van.
- Assist with receiving shipments and storing items in the appropriate location in the warehouse.
- Clean work areas and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with customers and address any concerns or issues.
Requirements:
- Valid US Driver's License
- Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs throughout the day.
- Ability to work on your feet all day long.
- Ability to use a pallet jack and other pieces of warehouse equipment.
