Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts with precision and artistic flair
  • Decorate cakes and confections using advanced cake decorating techniques to ensure visual appeal
  • Manage food production processes, including portioning, packaging, and presentation of baked goods
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, handling, and cleanliness in accordance with industry regulations
  • Assist in food preparation for catering events or special occasions, ensuring timely delivery
  • Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes and improve existing pastry offerings
  • Ensure all kitchen operations adhere to food industry standards for quality and safety

Qualifications

  • Proven pastry experience with a strong portfolio of baked goods and desserts
  • Skilled in cake decorating, food handling, and food presentation techniques
  • Extensive knowledge of baking principles, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment
  • Experience in food production, food preparation, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or catering environment
  • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food safety practices
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Previous experience in the food industry or culinary setting preferred; catering or restaurant experience is a plus
