Wellness Technician

Job Summary:

Join our team at The Head Spa at Red Ant Beauty Studio, where relaxation meets holistic scalp care. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, nurturing professional who’s passionate about creating a serene and rejuvenating experience for every guest. This role involves assisting with or performing head spa services, maintaining a tranquil environment, and ensuring each client receives an exceptional level of care.

This is a flexible, as-booked position — hours are scheduled according to client appointments and may vary week to week. While we can’t guarantee a set number of hours or pay, consistent weekday availability (and ideally Sundays) allows for more frequent booking opportunities. Applicants who can provide reliable weekday, occasional weekend availability and can be on-call will be given scheduling priority as appointments arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform or assist with head spa treatments, scalp care services, and relaxation rituals including basic hair blow drying.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure cleanliness and organization between appointments.
• Educate clients on scalp health, product usage, and at-home care recommendations.
• Maintain a calm, professional, and welcoming environment for every guest.
• Support the team by helping with laundry, restocking, and spa setup as needed.
• Represent The Head Spa brand with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Licensed cosmetologist or esthetician (license preferred but not necessary).
• Passion for holistic wellness, scalp care, and luxury service.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Prior experience in a salon or spa setting is a plus but not required — training provided.

Compensation

• Compensation is very competivitve percentage based on service type and bookings.
• This position is hourly or commission-based (depending on experience and structure).
• Additional earning potential through product sales and client tips.

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
