Position Overview
The Senior Manager of FP&A and Finance Analytics will be a key finance leader responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and analytics across the organization while helping lead the transition to a modern data warehouse and reporting environment.
This role will partner closely with leaders across Operations, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, eCommerce, and IT to deliver actionable insights and establish a single source of truth for financial and operational metrics. The position combines traditional FP&A leadership with hands-on involvement in building scalable reporting processes, supporting the company’s Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process, and enabling data-driven decision capabilities.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building driver-based financial models, interpreting large datasets, and leading cross-functional initiatives in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning
- Develop driver-based models for revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and working capital
- Provide scenario analysis to support pricing, promotion, and channel strategies across DTC, Marketplace, and Retail
- Monitor performance against plan and provide forward-looking guidance to leadership
- Support capital planning and investment analysis
Performance Management & Business Partnership
- Establish and refine KPI frameworks aligned to company strategic priorities
- Deliver monthly management reporting with clear insights and actionable recommendations
- Analyze performance across Direct-to-Consumer, Marketplace (e.g., Amazon), and Retail channels
- Identify risks and opportunities and recommend corrective actions
- Serve as a finance business partner to cross-functional leaders
Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP)
- Serve as Finance lead in the SIOP process, ensuring alignment between demand plans, supply plans, inventory levels, and financial forecasts
- Translate operational plans into revenue, margin, and working capital implications
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Demand Planning to evaluate risks and opportunities
- Provide scenario analysis to support inventory, production, and purchasing decisions
- Ensure SIOP outputs are reflected in financial forecasts, cash flow planning, and reporting
Finance Analytics & Data Transformation
- Serve as Finance lead in the transition from spreadsheet-based reporting to a data warehouse and business intelligence environment
- Partner with IT and data teams to define finance data requirements, governance, and metric definitions
- Help establish and maintain a single source of truth for financial and operational data
- Ensure consistency between planning models, financial reporting, and dashboards
- Drive adoption of self-service reporting tools and analytics across leadership teams
Systems & Process Improvement
- Improve forecasting accuracy and reporting speed through automation and improved tools
- Design scalable planning and reporting processes to support continued growth
- Evaluate FP&A software, BI tools, and analytics platforms
- Reduce manual processes and spreadsheet dependency
- Enhance data quality and reporting reliability
Executive & Strategic Support
- Prepare analysis and materials for executive leadership, Board of Directors, and lenders
- Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights
- Support strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, and investment evaluations
- Provide decision support for major business initiatives and operational changes
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- 6–10 years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance experience
- Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, Retail, or eCommerce preferred
- Experience supporting SIOP, demand planning, or supply chain finance processes strongly preferred
- Experience supporting data warehouse, BI, or finance systems implementations strongly preferred
Skills & Capabilities
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of data structures, reporting architecture, and KPI design
- Experience with ERP and analytics tools (NetSuite, Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Adaptive, etc.) preferred
- Ability to bridge finance and technical teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to synthesize complex information
