About the Role
Multimedia Designer
recteq is looking for a Multimedia Designer who’s a true utility player: a strong, detail-oriented designer first, with the versatility to jump into video editing, social-first content creation, and on-set support when needed. This role will sit alongside a videographer, photographer, and graphic designer, helping elevate our visual storytelling across digital, social, and brand channels.

Key Responsibilities
Design (Primary Focus)
Create visually compelling print, digital, and social assets—including campaign graphics, layouts, thumbnails, templates, and branded content
Support campaign creative, content series, and marketing initiatives with strong visual consistency and fast turnarounds when needed
Help develop, document, and maintain brand standards across platforms (especially social and digital)
Social Content & Creative Ideation
Concept and produce social-first creative (static, carousel, and short-form video), adapting brand stories for each platform
Bring fresh ideas for hooks, formats, and storytelling; stay current on social and design trends and translate them into on-brand content
Partner with marketing/content leads to package deliverables for publishing (exports, versioning, and light iteration based on performance feedback)
Video Support
Edit short- and long-form video content for social, web, and marketing use
(cuts, pacing, sound, and basic color)
Create and edit short-form video for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts—including text overlays, light motion, and platform-friendly formatting
Assist with video shoots and content days as needed
(camera operation, setup, lighting, and audio support)
Organize, manage, and prep video assets for post-production (selects, versioning, and basic file hygiene)
Photography Support
Assist during photo shoots and content days
Perform photo editing, retouching, and asset prep for digital use
Help organize and maintain photo libraries and assets
Collaboration & Production
Work closely with the videographer, photographer, and design team to support projects from concept
through delivery
Jump in where needed during high-volume or fast-paced production cycles—shifting between design, edits, and content packaging
Proactively pitch creative concepts and improvements; stay current on design and content trends to keep
our work fresh and effective
Qualifications
Required
*3 years of experience in graphic design or multimedia design
*Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom); working
knowledge of at least one video editing tool (Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve). After Effects a plus.
*Solid understanding of layout, typography, color, and brand systems
*Experience editing short-form, social-first video with strong pacing, storytelling, and attention to platform best practices
*Comfortable working with motion elements (text treatments, simple animations, captions/subtitles) to
enhance video and social content
*Basic to intermediate experience assisting with video and photo shoots
*Creative self-starter who can generate concepts, take direction well, and collaborate across disciplines
*Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
*Portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals plus examples of video edits and/or social-first content
Nice to Have
Experience building social content in partnership with marketing (content calendars, performance
learnings, and iteration)
Knowledge of lighting, camera basics, or audio setup
Basic motion graphics experience (After Effects or similar) and comfort creating templates for repeatable
content
Experience working in a fast-paced, in-house creative or marketing team
