CPA/Tax Preparer

We are seeking an experienced CPA or Tax Preparer to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in tax preparation, compliance, and client service, with at least 3 years of professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
• Research and apply current tax laws and regulations to client situations
• Provide tax planning strategies and recommendations to minimize liability
• Respond to IRS and state tax notices and inquiries
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication
• Review financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy
• Assist with bookkeeping and accounting services as needed
• Stay current with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards
• Manage multiple client engagements and meet critical deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Active CPA license or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam (preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in tax preparation and accounting
• Proficiency with tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Ultra Tax, Drake, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of federal tax codes and regulations
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Active CPA certification
• Experience with high-net-worth individuals or complex business returns
• Enrolled Agent (EA) designation
