Responsibilities
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification or equivalent nursing qualification.
- Current registration with the relevant nursing regulatory body (e.g., NMBI or NMC).
- Competent in delivering comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
- Experience in administering medications, including IV drugs, blood products, and controlled drugs, in accordance with policies.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices and adherence to hospital policies and best practice guidelines.
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering a high-quality service.
- Personally and professionally accountable for the delivery of patient care.
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification.
- Current NMBI registration (or eligibility for registration).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexible approach to work patterns, including rotation across day shifts.
- Previous nursing experience in Endoscopy/Flexible Cystoscopy procedures is desirable.
- Must be registered, or eligible for registration, in the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Post-registration nursing experience is essential, preferably in surgical areas.
