This person will own the full engineering hiring funnel — from sourcing elite technical talent to closing candidates — and play a pivotal role in scaling the team that defines the company’s trajectory. With a focus on top-tier engineering hires (think IOI, IWO, WRO medalists and other exceptional builders), this is a chance to directly shape the caliber and culture of the company’s early team.
The recruiter will operate with a high degree of autonomy, working directly with the founders while taking over all candidate interfacing and process management. They’ll be expected to bring both a strong technical background and a deep network in the tech/startup community, enabling them to evaluate candidates at a high bar. While the core focus will be engineering, they’ll also own hiring across other roles as the company grows. Requirements
- 3 years of recruiting experience with a focus on technical and engineering roles (flexible for exceptional operators with less)
- Demonstrated ability to recruit elite technical talent (e.g., Olympiad medalists, top ICPC performers, or engineers from top-tier startups)
- Strong technical literacy — able to engage with and evaluate highly technical candidates credibly
- Established network within the startup and engineering community
- Proven track record of building and running full-cycle recruiting processes independently
- Excellent communication and closing skills; able to sell the vision and opportunity of an early-stage startup
- Preference for in-office candidates; open to remote for exceptional talent
