Chief Vibe Officer

Location: Hybrid – San Francisco, CA

Compensation: $500K – $650K Equity

Seeking an exceptional Chief Vibe Officer to set the energetic frequency for a rapidly scaling AI unicorn. This role blends emotional intelligence, cultural stewardship, and organizational psychology to ensure the company’s vibe stays aligned with growth and innovation.

📝 About the Role

This isn’t a typical “culture” role. The Chief Vibe Officer will serve as the organizational barometer—able to sense when energy is off and course‑correct before it impacts velocity. You’ll partner with leadership to design vibrational strategies, foster psychological safety, and keep the team’s morale high.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily vibe checks across departments and flag anomalies to leadership.
• Design and implement strategies that align team energy with mission and values.
• Own the atmosphere of all‑hands meetings, offsites, and investor presentations.
• Develop KPIs around morale, creative flow states, and psychological safety.
• Curate playlists and rituals that enhance focus and collaboration.
• Mediate vibe conflicts before they escalate into HR issues.
• Partner with People leadership to ensure hiring decisions pass the vibe test.
  
  

💡 What It’ll Take to Land an Interview

Must‑Haves (100% required):

• 7 years of experience reading rooms (professionally or as a highly observant human).
• Proven track record of making awkward situations less awkward.
• Deep understanding of startup culture and AI ethics.
• Exceptional emotional intelligence—able to sense subtle team dynamics.
