Trucking Dispatcher (Night) 3pm to 11pm

Dependable, stable and family oriented trucking company is seeking a dependable and experienced Night Trucking Dispatcher.

The Schedule is from 3:00pm to 11:00pm or when work is completed with a rotating schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinate scheduling and dispatch of company drivers and trucks. include taking incoming calls from drivers, responding to messages (via Microsoft Teams), inputting work orders into the system, updating driver status and coordinating schedules and dispatching drivers throughout the state of Colorado.

The ideal candidate will have three (3) years of dispatching and at least two (2) years of trucking dispatching. In addition, must have a strong understanding of geography, ability to read and interpret mapping, organized, detail-oriented, and able to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

·         Schedule and dispatch drivers throughout the state of Colorado

·         Maintain clear and professional communication with drivers throughout their shifts

·         Monitor truck locations and driver activity using GPS tracking, mapping, and company dispatch systems

·         Reroute drivers and adjust load assignments as operational conditions change

·         Respond promptly to calls from drivers, customers, and supervisors

·         Resolve scheduling, routing, equipment, and service-related issues quickly and professionally

·         Coordinate closely with other dispatchers and supervisors

·         Provide complete and accurate operational updates during dispatcher shift changes

·         Maintain accurate records of routes, load details, work orders, assignments, and dispatch decisions.

·         Use dispatching and mapping software to improve route efficiency and equipment utilization

·         Ensure company procedures and safety protocols are followed during operations

·         Remain calm and focused during periods of high demand, service disruptions, and emergency situations

Qualifications

·         Three (3) years of dispatching experience and at least two (2) years of trucking dispatch experience required

·         Well versed in DOT rules and regulations HOS (Hours of Service), weight and bridge requirement laws

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

·         Experience using dispatching, fleet-management, GPS-tracking, and mapping systems (V I or TMS ideally)

·         Strong geographical and mapping understanding of Colorado and the United States

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities

·         Ability to manage multiple drivers, loads, customers, and operational priorities simultaneously

·         Ability to follow established procedures while adapting to changing operational needs and ability to prioritize

·         Ability to work with truck drivers

·         Teamwork and collaboration across departments

·         Reliable transportation

·         High School Diploma or GED is required

Schedule

·         Rotating 4 days on and 4 days off / 3:00pm to 11:00pm or when work is completed
