Operations Manager

Respected, growth-oriented, reputable Custom Plastic Injection Molding Company specializing in large run ongoing commercial relationships needs a take-charge individual with proven Operations, Administration and Maintenance experience to contribute to the strategic development of this organization.  Expertise in ensuring all molders and equipment is in service with profitable operations is required.  This is a solid company with a stable workforce and more than 50 years in business in Freeport, NY.

This position is to ensure that all resources of the company are managed and coordinated in an efficient and professional manner on all projects, to perform work within the budget and ahead of schedule.

Essential Functions:

·         Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget as determined by company objectives

·         Provide leadership and direction to all functional areas of the organization to ensure bottom line profitability of the company

·         Responsible for obtaining profit and margin objectives as determined by the operational budget

·         Communicate with Owner in a timely manner regarding potential problems and/or recommendations for improving results

·         Project a positive, can-do attitude that ensures subordinate support for company’s mission

·         Effectively manage and schedule all subordinates to complete all projects on-time and within budget

·         Review all contracts and quotations to ensure profitable business is maintained

·         Ensure compliance with various government laws, rules and safety regulations

Experience Desired:

·         Five (5) plus years of General Management duties of a similar type company in the $3M to $5M range

·         Proven achievement in scheduling, monitoring and developing on time and profitable project objectives

·         Knowledge of and experience in developing operations, maintenance and financial management

·         PC proficiency is required. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Excel is preferred.

·         Verifiable experience maintaining and increasing profitable, serviceable customer base

·         Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering or related discipline preferred

·        Verifiable leadership accomplishments regarding human capital management and profitable/effective operations

·         Ability to interact and produce results with employees, Foreman, and customers
