We are partnering with a high-growth Series A startup backed by some of Silicon Valley’s most influential investors and entrepreneurs (including the founders of YouTube, Canva, Instacart, Twitch, and more). This startup has scaled to 8 figures in ARR within a year and is building a game-changing B2B platform for streamlining talent acquisition.
With a lean and incredibly high-performing team, the company is seeking to add an early Business Operations & Finance hire who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the business. This is a unique opportunity to own and scale core strategic functions from the ground up in a fast-paced, venture-backed environment.
What You Will Do
As the Business Operations & Finance Lead, you'll be the analytical and executional backbone for decision-making across the company. You'll work cross-functionally with product, data, and leadership to drive growth through data-driven insights, strategic planning, and operational excellence.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Financial Modeling & Strategic Forecasting: Own revenue projections, gross vs. net analysis, scenario planning, and unit economics to guide company strategy.

SQL-Driven Data Analysis: Write your own queries to answer key operational questions, analyze trends, and produce actionable insights.

Business Reporting: Create executive dashboards and reporting tools to track KPIs across departments and empower fast, data-informed decisions.

Budgeting & Cost Efficiency: Monitor company spend, identify opportunities for optimization, and collaborate with leadership on budget planning.

Special Projects: Tackle high-priority initiatives such as launching new revenue models, operationalizing recruiting pipelines, or mapping out GTM strategies.
Ideal Candidate Background
We’re looking for a high horsepower generalist who thrives on ownership, is comfortable with ambiguity, and excels in fast-paced startup environments. You should have:

2–6 years of total experience, with a trajectory that reflects strong business acumen and analytical excellence.

2 years at a top-tier investment bank (e.g., Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan) with deep financial modeling experience.

1–4 years in finance, business operations, or strategy at a fast-growing tech startup, ideally with strong ownership of cross-functional initiatives.

Top-tier academic background, ideally in business, finance, or economics from a well-regarded university.

A demonstrated ability to translate data into business decisions through pattern recognition and storytelling.

Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and financial modeling tools.
