What You Will Do
As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE), you’ll be embedded with U.S. government partners to tackle their toughest technical and analytical challenges. You will:

Collaborate directly with end users to identify critical problems and design impactful software solutions.

Build and deploy data-driven applications that integrate seamlessly into complex operational environments.

Work across the full technology stack—from backend data pipelines to front-end interfaces.

Ideal Background

1 year of professional software engineering experience.

Strong proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C , or TypeScript/JavaScript).

Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

Experience with modern tools such as cloud infrastructure, databases, or front-end frameworks.

Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain or maintain a federal security clearance (active Secret or TS clearance preferred).
