Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to serve as the primary scheduling expert supporting Project Managers across complex projects. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules, while establishing best practices and standards for scheduling and project controls.
You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring accurate schedule tracking, risk identification, and performance reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using Primavera P6
- Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect approved changes in scope, timelines, and resources
- Partner with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to gather inputs for schedule updates
- Identify scheduling risks, conflicts, and trends; provide actionable recommendations through variance reports and scenario analysis
- Prepare and present schedule updates and reports to stakeholders and leadership
- Perform schedule risk analysis and support development of mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to established project controls processes, including planning, scheduling, and performance tracking methodologies
- Support development and continuous improvement of project controls standards, procedures, and guidelines
- Assist leadership with scheduling-related initiatives and project control activities
- Track and manage schedule performance metrics and KPIs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Science, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in project scheduling within energy, construction, or engineering environments
- Strong proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Working knowledge of Procore and Microsoft Office Suite
- Solid understanding of project management principles and project controls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- Scheduling certifications such as PMI-SP or PSP
- Experience performing schedule risk analysis and mitigation planning
