We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and execute pre & post‑merger integration initiatives. This role is instrumental in ensuring acquired businesses are integrated efficiently, consistently, and in alignment with strategic, operational, and technology objectives.
The role functions as a core member of the Integration Management Office (IMO), supporting integration, governance, coordination, and execution across multiple workstreams and acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
IMO & M&A Integration Leadership
- Serve as a dedicated project manager within the Integration Management Office (IMO), supporting the governance and execution of M&A integrations
- Lead end‑to‑end project management for post‑merger integrations, from pre‑close planning through post‑close execution and stabilization
- Partner with IMO leadership to ensure integration efforts align to deal objectives, synergy targets, and organizations integration playbooks
- Support standardization of integration approaches, reporting, and governance across acquisitions
Project & Program Management
- Develop and manage integrated project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource plans across multiple functional workstreams
- Apply Enterprise PMO & IMO methodologies, tools, and controls to integration initiatives
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies across concurrent integrations
- Facilitate IMO and integration‑related forums, including workstream reviews, risk reviews, and executive steering committees
- Prepare and deliver concise, executive‑ready status reporting and dashboards
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Act as a central coordination point between IMO leadership, internal functional teams, and acquired‑company stakeholders
- Partner closely with IT leadership on systems, infrastructure, application, and data integration initiatives
- Collaborate with the business functions to ensure coordinated integration planning and execution
- Ensure integration decisions and dependencies are captured, tracked, and communicated effectively
Stakeholder Communication & Change Management
- Develop and execute integration communication plans in coordination with the IMO
- Facilitate planning workshops, kickoff sessions, and retrospectives with cross‑functional teams
- Promote alignment, accountability, and proactive issue resolution across diverse stakeholder groups
- Support change management efforts to drive adoption of new processes, systems, and operating models
Continuous Improvement
- Capture lessons learned from integration activities and contribute to enhancements of IMO frameworks, tools, and integration playbooks
- Support ongoing maturity of the IMO in partnership with the VP of Information Technology & Enterprise PMO
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7 years of progressive project management experience, including leadership of complex, cross‑functional initiatives
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading M&A integration efforts, including pre‑close and post‑close activities
- Working knowledge of Integration Management Office (IMO) models and governance structures
- Strong understanding of the M&A lifecycle, integration strategies, and common risks and challenges
- Proficiency with enterprise project management and collaboration tools
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 35%
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PMI‑ACP, or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong experience with management of PM tools (Smartsheet, TEAMS, Excel)
- Experience working within an Enterprise PMO and/or Integration Management Office
- Background working as a consultant or in a contract‑based delivery model
- Familiarity with IT systems integration, data migration, application rationalization, and infrastructure consolidation
