POSITION SUMMARY
Ensure recreation center policies including verification of member status for bowling, billiards and shuffleboard are understood and followed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (This list is not intended to detail all aspects of the assigned work but is representative of the job’s overall responsibilities.)
• Assign lanes, assists with scoring, corrections, assign billiards tables.
• Controls shoe rentals, sale of merchandise and receives payment from customers and processes revenue.
• Controls and directs telephone traffic for the Sports Pavilion
• Reports any mechanical problems to the mechanic on duty.
• Administers locker program as prescribed.
• Submits daily operation cash sheets.
• When management is not available the monitor on duty is responsible to resolve customer problems and to notify emergency personnel if the need arises.
• Report any safety hazards.
• Keeps control desk neat and clean at all times. Perform daily cleaning and maintenance on equipment as prescribed.
• When a uniform is provided it must be worn during all working hours.
• Maintains consistent record of acceptable attendance and punctuality according to policy guidelines.
• Maintains a current Arizona certificate to sell alcoholic beverages.
• Prepares and distributes promotional material, including video for the lane overhead monitors relating to tournaments and special events conducted at the Sports Pavilion.
• Performs input of league information and preparation of daily cash sheets and deposits in the absence of the League Coordinator.
• Assist with league and tournaments functions as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has supervisory responsibilities when the manager and assistant manager are off duty.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Sufficient Training and education to demonstrate possession of required knowledge, skills and qualifications are required.
• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A working knowledge of bowling, billiards, general administration and basic math.
• Ability to operate a cash register and computer scorer consoles.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk and hear the customers' requests via in-person or over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms above shoulders.
The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and smell.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to determine lanes by sight, see calls and numbers that are posted on the tables.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The employee will be subjected to very loud surroundings that might include telephones ringing, customers talking and 30 lanes of bowling. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
