What are the responsibilities and job description for the QSAP 2 (Qualified Substance Abuse Professional II) position at Recovery Services?
Recovery Services is searching for a QSAP 2 that can provide counseling for the clients in our substance abuse programs. As a QSAP 2 you would be relied upon to lead multiple group therapy sessions daily. A QSAP 2 must also provide individual sessions upon client request, and complete all relevant service documentation in a timely and orderly manner. To qualify as a QSAP 2 you must meet the following criteria...
1) Have a Bachelor’s Degree from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university in psychology, social work, community, rehabilitation, or pastoral counseling, family therapy, or other behavioral health area that requires equivalent clinical course work.
2) Be licensed in the State of Alabama as a Bachelor Level Social Worker
OR
1) Have a Bachelor’s Degree from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university in psychology, social work, community, rehabilitation, or pastoral counseling, family therapy, or other behavioral health area that requires equivalent clinical course work.
2) Hold a substance abuse counselor certification credential from the Alabama Association of Addiction Counselors, National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association, or International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium.
At the interview you may be asked to provide the following documentation...
1) Copy of LBSW License
2) Copy of Official Bachelor’s Level College Transcripts
3) Copy of SA Counselor Certification
