Job Summary
The peer recovery resource manager will maintain a recovery resource website, develop and implement on-going social activities, organize recovery-focused policy advocacy activities, and carry out recovery-focused community education events.
Key responsibilities are:
· Plan, implement, manage, monitor and keep updated the organization’s website.
· Creating relevant and cohesive content for both print and digital media - Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter, LinkedIn, Email, quarterly Newsletters
· Actively identify and support linkages to community resources (communities of recovery, educational, vocational, social, cultural, spiritual resources, mutual self- help groups, professional services, etc.) that support the recovering person’s goals and interests. This will involve a collaborative effort including the recovering person, agency staff and other relevant stakeholders.
· Develop relationships with community groups/agencies in partnership with others in the agency.
· Visit community resources with recovering persons to assist them in becoming familiar with potential opportunities.
· Support connections to community based, mutual self-help groups
· Monitor and evaluate performance for email, web, search, and paid social marketing efforts.
· Schedule and facilitate community-based social programs from beginning to full implementation for person in recovery in Livingston County.
· Maintain project logs, reports and records in appropriate files and database(s).
· Schedule and implement social activities.
· Implement two recovery focused community education program and four and recovery focused advocacy messages to reduce stigma associated with SUD disorders in Livingston County.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in social media management with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite; video editing skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, keyword research techniques, and web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
- Familiarity with social listening tools like Hootsuite or Buffer for monitoring online conversations.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies including social media marketing, branding, E-commerce promotion, and Facebook Advertising campaigns.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling content tailored to diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail; proactive problem-solving skills are essential.

- Possession of high school diploma or G.E.D is required. Must have two continuous years in recovery from addiction(s) with experience navigating treatment services and/or prevention; experience receiving publicly funded treatment and recovery services for addiction. One year of experience interacting with persons with substance use disorder required. Must possess the MDHHS Peer Recovery certification Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing is required. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
