Job Summary
RLG is a provider of consultative Environmental Compliance Management (ECM) services for extended producer responsibility (EPR) on a global scale. The data services and environmental compliance team works with producers to deliver: EPR assessments of their legal obligations province by province, data management and reporting services, audit support and technology product offerings such as an ECM manager. Additionally, as new regulation emerges there is significant amount of research required to support the proper implementation of the program for RLG and our clients.
Reverse Logistics Group (RLG) is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to expand our environmental compliance solutions with a focus on producers.
Key Tasks include, but may not be limited to:
- Monitoring and documentation of EPR legislative frameworks
- Assessment of producer obligations against EPR legislative and program requirements, delivery of reports to producers
- Development and execution of compliance plans for producers
- Management of producer sales data and product characterization data
- Submitting compliant reports on behalf of clients on time as required
- Application of producer data to EPR program rules, preparation of submissions to EPR program operators
- Coordination of client information relevant for processing of invoices, i.e. key contact information
- Research and documentation on regulations pertaining to areas of growth
- Monitoring of collection network locations and operations against regulatory requirements
- Monitoring of other compliance requirements (performance reports, audits) against PRO operations
- Collaborate with RLG’s head office ECM team for delivery of client services
- Other duties as assigned
What you bring:
- Minimum one (1) years’ experience working in the environmental, policy or sustainability industry
- Post-secondary education
- Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation development skills, with the ability to understand, synthesize and clearly communicate complex information in an appropriate tone or voice to various internal stakeholders
- Verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to draft presentations and present to external clients
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular SharePoint and PowerPoint
- Motivated and confident self-starter with the ability to accomplish goals and meet deadlines with minimal oversight
- Highly organized, efficient and accurate
- Highly collaborative and able to manage relationships with local and international teams within a cross-functional team structure
- Competent when working independently, and within teams
