Responsibilities
- Operate grinding, trimming, and finishing tools to shape and smooth fiberglass parts according to specifications
- Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments to perform dimensional measurements and quality inspections
- Handle materials safely using forklift and materials handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Assist in assembly processes when necessary, ensuring parts meet strict quality standards through inspection and measurement
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce waste
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment
- Ability to perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measurement tools for quality control
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse or materials handling equipment safely
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to machine operation and industrial environments
- Excellent hand tool skills with an emphasis on machining, assembly, and finishing tasks
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to improve productivity and reduce waste
