Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of paid media managers and specialists, fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, and innovation.
- Set clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans for each team member.
- Serve as the agency’s subject matter expert for paid media best practices, trends, and emerging technologies, working directly with clients as their partner, not just a vendor.
- Oversee the operational efficiency of the media department, including workflow, QA, and cross-team collaboration.
- Create a sense of urgency across the team, encouraging proactive troubleshooting and creative problem-solving to overcome obstacles and deliver results.
- Oversee key platform and vendor partnerships, ensuring the agency maintains preferred access, early betas, and best-in-class support across major ad ecosystems. Continuously looking to strategically grow this network.
- Develop multi-channel media strategies that align with client goals, business objectives, and audience insights.
- Partner with Strategy, Data Science, and Account teams to translate insights into actionable plans that drive measurable impact.
- Oversee the integration of AI, automation, and advanced analytics into targeting, optimization, and creative testing.
- Champion new media opportunities and partnerships, ensuring the agency stays at the forefront of the evolving media landscape.
- Assist Head of Strategy with shaping the agency’s media vision, guiding how performance, data, and creativity intersect to deliver growth for clients.
- Oversee the development and execution of paid media campaigns across all channels including Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, programmatic DSPs, CTV, and traditional media.
- Ensure all campaigns are set up for success with clear KPIs, data accuracy, conversion tracking, and dashboards containing actionable data points.
- Work with media teams ahead of regular reporting/client reviews, identifying optimization opportunities and ensuring the team acts on data-driven insights to improve efficiency and ROI. Ensure proper preparation for all client-facing calls
- Partner with analytics and data science teams to evolve the agency’s media measurement frameworks and attribution models.
- In conjunction with the Head of Strategy, serve as a senior media advisor to key clients, articulating strategy, performance, and innovation opportunities with clarity and confidence.
- Support the new business process by contributing to proposals, media plans, and client presentations.
- Build trust with senior client stakeholders through transparency, thought leadership, and results.
- Build relationships with media vendors.
- Work hand-in-hand with Strategy, Creative, CRM, Account Management, and Data Science to ensure media is seamlessly connected to audience strategy and creative execution.
- Partner with the account teams and accounting department to manage budgets.
- Collaborate with the AdOps team to advance data integration, tagging, and reporting capabilities.
- The paid media team presentation skills are improved enough to independently present campaign performance during client reporting calls.
- The media team can clearly demonstrate how paid media initiatives tie directly to client business outcomes (e.g., sales, leads, ROI, or retention), with specific case examples that connect media performance to measurable growth.
- Managers within the paid media team are effectively trained and empowered to handle day-to-day management, allowing the Media Director to focus on high-level strategy, innovation, and cross-department collaboration.
- The Media Director is recognized by both the ELT and SLT as Rebellion’s foremost expert on paid media trends and innovation, regularly presenting insights, benchmarks, and strategic recommendations at least quarterly.
- The Media Director can point to clear examples where improved alignment and collaboration between paid media, creative, analytics, and client strategy teams led to better campaign outcomes and operational efficiency.
- The Media Director secures at least 5 new or enhanced media partnerships that deliver measurable value to Rebellion, whether through cost savings, added media value, early access to betas, or improved client results.
- The agency’s media offering continues to evolve, powered by data, creativity, and technology.
- The media team is seen as proactive and innovative problem-solvers.
