Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
Supervise marketing interns including (but not limited to) onboarding, training, and meeting internship program requirements.
Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the Organization’s brand image and position within the marketplace and the general public, and facilitate internal and external communications.
Fulfill main marketing role and help spread a marketing culture within the organization.
Strategize, develop, and manage marketing and promotional activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
Research, coordinate, and implement marketing activities related to trade shows, college fairs, and other community events/activities.
Responsible for ordering inventory within the budget. Supply inventory for marketing kits at program sites and event tabling.
Ensure appropriate use of the REAP logo, lettering, colors, and standards of design for print and digital communications.
Responsible for creating original text and video content, managing posts and responding to followers. Remain up to date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends.
Develop marketing strategies and plans to promote programs and donorship.
Consistently conduct market research to identify trends and new opportunities.
Create and implement marketing campaigns, including (but not limited to) email, social media, and content marketing efforts.
Work with the board marketing committee to develop and execute priorities.
Manage and optimize a Company website and conducting SEO campaigns.
Track and analyze the success of marketing efforts using tools such as Google Analytics.
Collaborate with other teams, such as Program Managers and Product Development, to align marketing efforts with organization goals.
Manage budgets and allocate resources for marketing campaigns.
Remain up to date with industry trends and developments in marketing techniques.
Responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and monitoring the Company’s social media strategy to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts, and increase donorship.
Responsible for developing a social media strategy and content calendar.
Responsible for creating and publishing social media content (e.g. text, images, video).
Consistently engage with followers and respond timely to comments and messages.
Collaborating with marketing, communication, donorship, and program staff teams to ensure brand consistency.
Analyze and report on the success of social media campaigns.
Stay current with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
Responsible for effective communication, remind and coordinate with supervisor and/or stake holders regarding action items.
Ability to think creatively and bring innovative ideas to marketing campaigns and branding efforts.
Ability to implement organizational training and development programs.
Ability to analyze, interpret and summarize data, trends and statistics.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and stay focused in a busy office environment.
Understanding of and commitment to customer service and REAP’s core values.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field and/or combination of work experience and management responsibilities.
- Two (2 ) years supervisory experience.
- Intermediate/advanced knowledge of social media platforms.
- Intermediate/advanced knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics.
- Three (3 ) years’ experience in developing visually compelling marketing materials, including social media graphics, email templates, and promotional videos.
Work Location & Schedule
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position is fulltime and 100% in-person at REAP’s HQ located at 10808 NE Halsey Street in Portland. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8-4:30pm. This position does not allow for remote work. Longer hours, evenings, and weekend work as necessary.
Travel
No travel is anticipated unless deemed necessary for trainings, networking events, or other company needs.
Work Environment
This position operates the majority of the time in a typical office environment, spending time at a desk, typing at a computer, talking with people in person and on the phone, taking notes and using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The job requires being out in the community for job fairs, which happens inside, outside, walking, talking with people or in sometimes loud environments.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception an ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift files, office products, and supplies, up to 25 pounds and open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Computer-based work environment; computer-intensive tasks and collaborative interactions. Requires a blend of communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
