RealSimGear is a San Diego based designer and manufacturer of advanced flight simulation components and systems. We believe flying is safer when pilots practice more, develop true mastery of their skills, procedures and the airplane and that everyone can benefit from this with the right access to great flight simulation.
We do this by designing, building, shipping and supporting world class simulator products that are the most elegant, most reliable sims available for the home environment, and commercial operators. We are all about harnessing the very latest consumer electronics technology to the field of flight simulation and we believe that better access to high fidelity, high quality simulation will make a significant difference to pilot confidence and safety. We are looking for an Electronics Technician to join our team in San Diego, CA. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience in electronics assembly, testing or re-work. You will be comfortable building short run prototypes of new electronics designs, be able to solder at an advanced level and be capable of debugging and re-working circuit boards. You will be able to read electronics schematics and BOMs.
The role is full time, and on-site however applicants with part time availability are encourage to apply.
Responsibilities Include:
- Build and evaluate electronic prototypes
- Build cable assemblies
- Through-hole and SMD soldering
- Evaluate and test new designs
- Troubleshoot production problems
- Diagnose and repair returned or fault products
- Develop documentation and support materials
This role is ideally suited to someone with a passion for aviation, either as a pilot or flight sim enthusiast.
