Nature of Work
Test Technician Engineer supports manufacturing operations by performing, developing, and maintaining test processes that ensure products meet design and quality specifications. This role involves setting up and running electrical, mechanical, or software-based tests, troubleshooting failures, analyzing test data, and assisting in continuous improvement or production test systems.
Duties and Task Statements:
· Set up, operate, and maintain production test equipment and fixtures to verify product functionality and performance
· Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of test failures; recommend corrective actions
· Collaborate with design, process, and quality engineers to implement new test methods or modify existing procedures
· Calibrate and maintain test instruments to ensure accurate and repeatable measurements
· Update test documentation, including test procedures, reports, and work instructions
· Assist in the validation and verification of new products and processes
· Ensure all testing complies with company quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines
· Support production teams by identifying and resolving test-related issues in real time.
· Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize test efficiency and yield
· Train operators or production technicians on proper test procedures and equipment use.
· Compiling reports on findings and testing data gathered.
· Conducting tests on products for safety, capacities, compliance, and performance.
· Measuring with precision instruments
· Analyzing results against specifications

Work Environment:
The work setting consists of a production environment with adequate lighting, suitable temperatures and a moderate noise level. The work schedule consists of a five-day 40-hour workweek with additional hours dependent upon department needs.
Qualifications:
Education
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field
Experience
· 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing test
· Hands-on experience with automated test equipment, data acquisition systems, or instrumentation (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies)
· Familiarity with root cause analysis and failure investigation methods
Skills
· Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
· Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, schematics, and test specifications
· Basic programming or scripting knowledge (LabVIEW, Python, C#, Etc.) is a plus
· Excellent documentation and communication skills
· Understanding of safety and ESD procedures
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
· Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while operating test equipment
· May require lifting to 25-40 lbs.
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
