About The Role
- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SAP FI/CO Architect to join our SAP team supporting finance operations across our manufacturing footprint.
- In this role, you will serve as the key liaison between Finance/Controlling stakeholders and the SAP technical team, driving the design, optimization, and implementation of SAP FI/CO solutions that align with business and manufacturing objectives.
- The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong track record in managing complex, multi-phase enterprise projects across software, data, and infrastructure.
- You are adept at influencing and collaborating with diverse stakeholders and technical teams to deliver results. Initiative, ownership, and strategic thinking are key to success in this role.
- You will play a critical role in shaping finance and controlling processes within a manufacturing environment, ensuring system integrity, supporting global SAP initiatives, and maintaining high-quality documentation to promote transparency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the Architect and subject matter expert (SME) for SAP FI/CO modules, including GL, AP, AR, AA, CO-OM, CO-PA, and CO-PC.
- Analyze and optimize end-to-end finance and controlling processes, with a focus on manufacturing cost structures and operational efficiency.
- Lead and support SAP FI/CO projects, including global rollouts, upgrades, system integrations and enhancements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers and cross-functional SAP teams.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and financial regulations.
- Provide second- and third-level support for SAP FI/CO-related incidents and service requests.
- Deliver training and create user documentation for key users and end-users and maintain process documentation.
- Stay current with SAP innovations (e.g., S/4HANA Finance, Central Finance) and recommend improvements.
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO in a global manufacturing environment or at least two full-cycle implementations, preferably S/4 HANA.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and integration with other systems (Avalara, Banking, Concur etc.) and SAP modules (SD, MM, PP) across multiple legal entities.
- Solid experience with SAP S/4 HANA or SAP ECC6.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Experience with S/4HANA Finance, Central Finance and Financial Supply Chain Management.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps and SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Experience with Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
- Proficiency in BPMN for process modeling and documentation.
- German language skills are a plus.
